What Rota does.
One week, Monday to Sunday, one row per person on your team. On a phone it turns into a list by day.
Build the week fast
Tap a cell to add a shift, or copy last week as drafts. Copy, paste and move shifts across the grid, with undo.
Drafts, then publish
A shift stays a draft, marked with a gold dot, until you publish the week. Then the team gets a notice on the pad.
Warnings before you publish
Over six hours with no 20-minute break, less than 11 hours of rest between shifts, seven days in a row, more than 48 hours in the week, or a shift on a day someone is away.
Hours and cost
Set an hourly rate per person and see the week’s hours, its cost and the cost per booked cover. Only you see the rates.
Open shifts and swaps
Leave a shift open and anyone on the team can ask for it from the pad. Staff can ask to give up or pass a shift, and you approve or decline.
Clock in and out
Each person clocks in on the pad with their PIN. Late arrivals and clock-ins with no shift are marked, and you can correct the times. Export the hours as CSV or print the rota.
How it fits with the rest.
Rota is an add-on. It goes on top of Bookings or the AI waiter: you need at least one of the two.

Is there a limit on staff?
No. Everyone on your team list can be on the rota, at no extra cost per person.
Can staff see what others earn?
No. Hourly rates and costs are yours only: the pad never receives them.
How does clocking in work?
On the pad, under My shift. Each person types their own PIN to clock in and out. The PIN is asked every time and is not kept on the tablet.
What if someone forgets to clock out?
An open clock-in closes by itself after 12 hours and is marked, so you can set the right time.
Can I get the hours out for payroll?
Yes. Export the week’s hours as a CSV file, or print the rota or save it as a PDF.
